functional analysis specialist

The Functional Analysis Specialist will be joining the Deposits Domain of IT Core Banking Services Division of Alpha Bank S.A., which is responsible for expanding capabilities to the full set of applications that exist in a domain and can perform the functional analysis process on small scale requirements with the assistance of a more experienced colleague.

Working closely with IT and Business stakeholders, the person chosen will participate in IT projects ensuring their successful execution in alignment with IT guidelines and methodologies and meeting IT and Business objectives. 

What you will be doing

• Translates business requirements to functional requirements, as an input to IT solutions design for a full set of applications that exist in a domain.
• Cooperates effectively with the Senior Functional Engineering regarding the functional analysis process on small scale requirements. 
• Adjusts and/or assists on the design and testing of the IT systems to successfully fulfill needs of the Bank, using up-to-date technologies. 
• Creates detailed documentation regarding technical solutions, their scope and objectives, activities performed, and findings.
• Executes functional testing and analyzes data to assess performance to specifications.
• Supervises functional testing as well as and documentation activities, performed by the team of Functional Analysts. 
• Stays up-to-date with the industry technical and business trends, to support the improvement process of the Bank’s internal systems/applications. 
• Performs basic troubleshooting activities using available tools.

What you need to have

• A Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or in any other related discipline. 
• A minimum of 4 years professional experience in positions linked with Deposits and services and/or analysis and design of digital systems or validation process, validation frameworks or testing methodologies. 
• Ability to deliver under tight and demanding deadlines. 
• Ability to prioritize business requirements and identify prerequisites, dependencies, and restrictions. 
• Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite and Visio. Familiarity with the AzureDevOps tool will be considered a plus. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written, in Greek and in English, with both technical and business audiences. 
• Business acumen, understanding of the existing technology environment, with solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, organizational and proactive skills along with attention to detail. 
• Ability to deliver high-quality results on-time, in scope and within budget and always strive for excellence. 
• Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills. 
• Self-motivated, flexibility and adaptability, with a results-oriented spirit and a “hands-on” mentality, accountability, and resourcefulness 
• Continuous improvement mindset and good change management skills.
• Teamwork spirit & ability to communicate and collaborate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders from all the hierarchical levels and functions.
