financial planning and monitoring specialist

The Financial Planning and Monitoring Specialist will be placed in the Financial Planning and Control Business Area under the CFO of the Alpha Bank Group and will participate in the drafting and the monitoring of the Business Plans and Budgets of Group Entities, both in Greece and abroad.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent skills in financial analysis and critical reasoning, while also exhibiting excellent communication and collaboration skills. Additionally, the candidate should be attentive to detail and able to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.

What you will be doing

• Support the development and monitoring of the Bank/Group’s Business Plans and Budgets through financial planning models.
• Analyze internal and external environment to develop insights that support the development of financial projections in the context of Group Business Plan and Budget.
• Participate in the development, maintenance and update of the rules, methodology and procedures to forecast and monitor financial projections for the Bank and Group.
• Liaise with the Bank’s Business Areas and the Group’s subsidiaries in preparation of their Budget and Business Plan, ensuring that all information is accurate and updated, while reviewing their feasibility.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to stakeholders highlighting key findings.
• Support the quarterly and monthly rolling forecasts based on actual data in cooperation with relevant Business areas.
• Collaborate with external advisors (consulting firms, etc.), to support the quality and timeliness of deliverables.

What you need to have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or in any other related discipline.
• A Master’s degree in the above disciplines or an MBA, will be considered a plus).
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Financial Planning and Control or MIS, in the banking, financial services or consulting industries.
• Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize and handle multiple assignments.
• Expert skills in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
