About the job

As the Capital Instruments and Securitizations Specialist you will be placed in the Capital Instruments and Securitizations Business Area, and will be responsible for covering the Bank’s liquidity needs through the structuring, monitoring and management of securitization transactions, covered bond programs and European Central Bank (ECB) pledging. Capital issuance or capital relief is also key for the Business Area, performed through the transactions of regulatory capital as well as through significant risk transfer securitizations.

 


 

What you will be doing

 

  • Monitor, support and prepare reporting on existing covered bond and securitization transactions.
  • Analyze existing loan portfolios for potential inclusion in new covered bond and securitization transactions.
  • Coordinate new structured finance transactions and participate in the structuring process of covered bonds and securitization transactions.
  • Support and coordinate activities relating to the pledging of loans within the scope of the ECB financing programs.
  • Participate in the issuance of regulatory capital following the annual capital plan of the Bank.
  • Monitor the regulatory framework [legal framework, European Banking Authority (EBA) guidelines] and the methodologies of the rating agencies.
  • Communicate with external counterparties (potential investors, financial and legal counsels, rating agencies).
  • Prepare supervisory and internal reporting.

 


 

What you need to have

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field of study (Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics etc.).
  • A Master’s degree in the above disciplines or professional qualifications such as CFA/CRM/ACCA will be appreciated.
  • At least two (2) to five (5) years of work experience in the banking or in the financial sector in general.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Bloomberg as well as SQL and/or VBA skills will be appreciated.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Project management skills.
