advisory data engineer

As an Advisory Data Engineer, you will be placed in the Bank’s IT Digital Services and Data Analytics Division and you will be responsible for being able to apply functional testing and requirement definition skills in a large set of applications within the Business Intelligence and Reporting IT domain, design, elaborate and test scenarios, having under her/ his responsibility parts of the automated testing process.

What you will be doing

• Create and maintains functional requirements based on the Bank’s business needs, skills in a large set of applications within the domain.

• Review the detailed documentation regarding technical solutions, their scope and objectives, activities performed by the team of Data engineers, and reports findings.

• Lead the functional design and preparation of deliverables (e.g., functional specifications, prototypes, user guides, test scripts, test scenarios etc.).

• Monitor the design and testing of IT applications in to successfully fulfill IT needs of the Bank, using up-to-date technologies and testing processes.

• Monitor problem resolution in terms of functional testing based on international recognized practices.

• Provide assistance to Data Engineers in designingand testing.

• Stay up-to-date with the industry BI technical and business trends, to support the improvement process of the Bank’s internal systems/applications.

• Perform basic troubleshooting activities using available tools.

What you need to have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Economics, or Mathematics (STEM)

• Master’s degree in STEM (preferred)

• At least six (6) years of working experience in analysis or design of digital systems or validation process, validation frameworks or testing methodologies

• Knowledge of Banking business processes and Banking IT Systems.

• Excellent command of Microsoft solutions (Office, Project).

• Excellent knowledge of SQL and database solutions.

• Business acumen, with emphasis on analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, self-motivation, ability to work under tight deadlines while being proactive.

• Strong results orientation, accountability, and resourcefulness.

• Ability to build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders from all the hierarchical levels and functions
