What you'll do
- Supervise daily accounting operations and guide assistants
- Control general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Monitor receivables, payables, fixed assets, customers and suppliers
- Maintain accounting records for companies and projects
- Perform bank reconciliations and account agreements
- Review invoicing, collections, payments, and other accounting transactions
- Execute month-end and year-end closings
- Determine financial results and post closing entries
- Prepare financial statements according to Greek Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards
- Prepare and submit corporate tax returns including Forms N and E3
- Manage VAT, withholding taxes, myDATA, and other tax and regulatory obligations
- Ensure tax and accounting compliance
- Prepare documentation and support tax and audit inspections
- Collaborate with external accountants, tax experts, and auditors
- Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of financial data
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Knowledge of Greek Accounting and Tax Legislation and compliance
- Expertise in month-end and year-end closing and financial statements preparation
- Experience in cash flow forecasting and management reporting
- Strong skills in bank reconciliations and account records review
- Proficiency in Excel, SAP ERP, and MyDATA electronic tax procedures
- Collaboration with external accountants, tax experts, and auditors
- Excellent English language proficiency
- Accounting / Economics / Finance / Any Field
