We are looking for a pioneering and hands-on Senior Data & Insights Engineer, as we accelerate our group-wide digital transformation, to join our team.

The Scope of the Position

This position constitutes a unique opportunity to build our data analytics capabilities from inception.

The Senior Data & Insights Engineer will serve as the architect and artisan of our data ecosystem, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and business intelligence systems. This role encompasses the delivery of dashboards, AI-driven insights, and recommendation engines to support informed decision-making.

We expect this role to be AI-augmented: the ideal candidate will leverage modern AI tools to accelerate development, enhance analysis, and maximize impact. We're looking for a dedicated builder, committed to fostering a data-driven culture and enabling the business to leverage actionable insights effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

Architect & Build: Design, deploy, and manage the Group's end-to-end data infrastructure, including ETL/ELT processes, data lake, and data warehouse solutions (on platforms such as Azure or SAP).

Data Pipeline Development: Develop robust, scalable, and reliable data pipelines to ingest, process, and integrate data from diverse sources, with a primary focus on SAP, Primavera, and other business systems.

Insight Generation: Support the Principal Reporting Analyst in delivering data-driven solutions to business leaders across all subsidiaries, by architecting KPIs, dashboards, and analytical models aligned with business objectives.

BI & Reporting: Own the development and maintenance of our Business Intelligence platform. Build intuitive and impactful reports and dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights for the leadership team.

- Advanced Analytics: Proactively analyze data to identify trends, spot anomalies, and uncover opportunities for operational efficiency, cost savings, and performance improvement. Explore and implement AI/ML models for predictive insights and recommendations.

Data Governance & Quality: Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance practices to ensure all data is accurate, consistent, and trustworthy.

Collaboration & Expertise: Act as a key resource for data-related questions. Collaborate with our SAP consultants to ensure seamless data extraction and work with the wider IT team to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with our enterprise architecture.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

-  A Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a data engineering and BI development role, with a proven track record of building data solutions in enterprise environments.

- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, pipeline development, and automation. Strong experience with ETL/ELT concepts and tools.

- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (preferably Azure), including data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics services. Solid understanding of SAP data structures and integration capabilities (SAP BW, HANA, or similar).

- Proficiency with modern BI and data visualization tools (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau).

- Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake concepts.

- Exposure to anomaly detection, forecasting or recommendation systems & projects is a plus.
