About the job
We are looking for a highly skilled Site Engineer for the Construction of the Student Halls in Crete (Rethymnon) to join our team.
Duties and responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the implementation of the MEP Works according to contract terms, technical specifications, and safety regulations
Manage the full subcontract lifecycle, from procurement to closeout, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
Administer and oversee subcontract agreements, including fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, and framework contracts
Draft, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements effectively to align with project and company objectives
Liaise with multiple stakeholders in a cross functional environment to ensure seamless contract execution
Track subcontractor costs, payments, and financial obligations to maintain budgetary control
Monitor and manage subcontractor performance and compliance with contract terms and industry standards
Ensure effective communication and collaboration with subcontractors and key stakeholders
Attend internal and subcontractor meetings to address contractual, financial, and performance-related matters
Prepare the project execution plan, method statements and quality plan
Set up the construction site and organize the site team
Provide management, supervision and oversight as primary responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and time-schedule/program as well as budget targets for the construction project
Prepare the project procurement plan as well as actively collaborate with the procurement manager in the procurement process
Prepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reporting
Ensure successful project completion until closeout
Undertake the by law responsibility as per building permit supervision requirements
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field
Minimum 20 years of professional experience in a similar role in Construction Industry (Building Sector Projects)
Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent command of English, both written and oral
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
