construction site manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Site Manager to join our Team,one of the largest highrise residential  projects in Greece and Mediterranean.

The individual will be involved in different aspects of the construction process and will have the opportunity to collaborate with all the project construction functions

Duties and responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the implementation of the project according to contract terms, technical specifications, and safety regulations

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a Safety and Health Plan

• Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and engineering principles

• Manage permits and ensure adherence to legal and contractual obligations related to the project execution

• Manage the full subcontract lifecycle, from procurement to closeout, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

• Administer and oversee subcontract agreements, including fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, and framework contracts.

• Draft, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements effectively to align with   project and company objectives.

• Liaise with multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional environment to ensure seamless contract execution.

• Assess subcontractor claims, variations, and contractual risks, providing strategic recommendations.

• Track subcontractor costs, payments, and financial obligations to maintain budgetary control.

• Monitor and manage subcontractor performance and compliance with contract terms and industry standards.

• Ensure back-to-back terms are established between the Main Contract and Subcontracts to mitigate risk.

• Ensure effective communication and collaboration with subcontractors and key stakeholders.

• Work efficiently within fast-paced, multi-disciplinary teams, managing competing priorities effectively.

• Attend internal and subcontractor meetings to address contractual, financial, and performance-related matters.

• Prepare the construction budget and the construction time schedule.

• Prepare the project execution plan, method statements and quality plan.

• Provide management, supervision and oversight as primary responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and time-schedule/program as well as budget targets for the construction project.

• Prepare the project procurement plan as well as actively collaborate with the procurement manager in the procurement process.

• Prepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reporting.

• Ensure successful project completion until closeout.

• Undertake the by law responsibility as per building permit supervision requirements.

Job qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in CivilEngineering , or a related field.

• Minimum 15-20 years of experience on site construction 

• Experience in high-rise building construction will be considered an asset

• Commercial Awareness of the Greek Construction Market and Subcontractors

• Professional working Proficiency in English

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite Apps

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
