What you'll do
- Review mechanical engineering designs, plans, method statements and materials for compliance with project and building codes
- Verify construction work aligns with approved design specifications and witness site tests
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design, standards, and safety regulations
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for site mechanical works and support project management
- Manage quality control and assurance for mechanical construction and commissioning activities
- Prepare and review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and address construction or commissioning issues
- Collaborate with project team to develop solutions and mitigate risks
- Prepare meeting minutes and maintain records of outstanding points
- Monitor and ensure adherence to project schedule and inform about construction progress
- Identify potential mechanical risks and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Evaluate site progress including payments, change orders, and claims
- Review and resolve claims and disputes related to mechanical engineering
- Ensure compliance with regulations and update project documentation accordingly
- Review commissioning and O&M manuals submitted by the contractor
- Evaluate site updates, as-built documentation and facilitate communication among stakeholders
- Oversee mechanical aspects of project closeout and facilitate project handover
