What you'll do
- Review electrical designs, plans, method statements, ITPs, materials and construction procedures for compliance with project requirements and codes
- Verify construction work against approved design specifications and witness site tests
- Conduct site inspections and prepare daily, weekly and monthly project reports
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control for electrical construction and commissioning
- Prepare and review Non-Conformance Reports and coordinate corrective actions
- Identify construction and commissioning issues, conflicts and discrepancies, and support their resolution
- Monitor electrical construction, testing and commissioning progress against the project schedule
- Identify schedule delays and potential risks, and develop mitigation and contingency measures
- Prepare meeting minutes and maintain records of outstanding actions
- Evaluate site progress, progress payments, change orders and contractor claims
- Review electrical engineering claims and support timely dispute resolution
- Monitor compliance with applicable regulations, design codes and standards
- Review approved documents and verify execution of final For Construction versions
- Review commissioning and operations and maintenance manuals
- Assess contractor updates, red-marked documents and as-built documentation
- Coordinate communication among contractors, engineering teams and the site manager
- Oversee electrical project closeout, final inspections, punch-list completion and handover to the owner
