Middle School ESL/EFL Teacher

We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate professionals for the role of MS ESL/EFL Teacher who align with our mission and values. This position focuses on supporting English language development for multilingual learners, fostering academic confidence, and promoting inclusive learning experiences. Teachers in this role collaborate closely with grade-level and content-area teams and report to the Middle School Principal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Delivery: Design and deliver engaging, effective ESL/EFL lessons aligned with Middle School standards and student language proficiency levels.

  • Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the diverse linguistic and academic needs of English language learners.

  • Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Continuously assess student understanding and language development, adjusting instruction to support growth.

  • Instructional Innovation: Explore, implement, and refine instructional strategies and best practices to enhance student learning and confidence.

  • Inclusive Learning Environment: Promote diversity, equity, and cultural awareness while fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom.

  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional learning to maintain instructional excellence and remain current in ESL/EFL pedagogy.

  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with grade-level teams, the ESL/EFL department, and content-area teachers to support student success.

  • School Engagement: Plan, participate in, and support co-curricular activities such as performances, parent-teacher conferences, and after-school events.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Middle School Principal.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching license or equivalent certification to teach Middle School ESL/EFL.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ESL/EFL, TESOL, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of two years of ESL/EFL teaching experience at the Middle School level.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and support multilingual learners.

  • Proficient in the use of technology for instructional and professional purposes.

  • Commitment to staying current with content knowledge, ESL/EFL methodologies, and teaching strategies.

  • Preferred: Experience teaching in U.S. schools or within an American curriculum environment.
