What you'll do
- Manage construction projects for new stores, renovations, office refurbishments, and logistics facilities from planning to handover
- Coordinate urban planning assessments and support licensing processes for new and existing developments
- Plan store layouts and office spaces according to company standards and operational needs
- Manage and review technical studies, project specifications, budgets, and documentation
- Conduct technical due diligence and support investment decisions through cost estimation and feasibility analysis
- Supervise construction works ensuring compliance with studies, specifications, quality, and contracts
- Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables for timely completion
- Manage project budgets, track costs, evaluate variations, and control expenses
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies on sites
- Coordinate external consultants, contractors, suppliers, and public authorities during permitting and construction
- Prepare project reports, budget updates, timeline tracking, and progress presentations
- Collaborate with Real Estate, Finance, Franchise, Operations, Logistics, and other stakeholders
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Construction project management, urban planning, and project planning skills
- Cost management and technical specifications expertise
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Fluency in English and Greek
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations compliance
- Strong collaboration, problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Civil Engineering / Architectural Engineering / Electromechanical Engineering

The opportunity
We are looking for an Urban Planning & Construction Engineering Supervisor to join our Technical Division – Urban Planning, Construction & PMO Team and play a key role in the development and transformation of Alfa Beta’s retail network.
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, permitting, and execution of construction projects, including new store openings, store renovations, office refurbishments, logistics facilities, and strategic expansion projects. You will coordinate projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with urban planning regulations, company standards, budget requirements, and project timelines.

What you will focus on
Managing construction projects for new stores, store renovations, office refurbishments, and logistics facilities from planning through execution and handover.
Coordinating urban planning assessments and supporting the licensing process for new developments and existing assets.
Planning store layouts and office spaces in alignment with company standards, operational requirements, and approved formats.
Managing and reviewing technical studies from external partners, project specifications, budgets, and project documentation.
Conducting technical due diligence and supporting investment decisions through project cost estimation (CAPEX) and feasibility analysis.
Supervising construction works and ensuring compliance with approved studies, technical specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Monitoring project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely project completion.
Managing project budgets, tracking costs, evaluating variations, and ensuring effective cost control throughout project execution.
Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies on construction sites.
Coordinating external consultants, contractors, suppliers, and public authorities throughout permitting and construction phases.
Preparing project reports, budget updates, timeline tracking, and progress presentations for management.
Collaborating closely with Real Estate, Finance, Franchise, Operations, Logistics, and other internal stakeholders to support network development projects.
Who we are looking for
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, retail development, engineering, or urban planning.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, technical specifications, project planning, and cost management.
Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of project management tools will be considered an asset.
Fluency in English and Greek (verbal and written).
