We are seeking&nbsp;to&nbsp;hire&nbsp;one&nbsp;full&nbsp;time&nbsp;Senior&nbsp;Optical&nbsp;Engineer&nbsp;with&nbsp;specialization&nbsp;in&nbsp;InstrumentationJob&nbsp;Description<ul><li>Design&nbsp;new&nbsp;test&nbsp;setups/stations&nbsp;for&nbsp;optical&nbsp;products.</li><li>Conduct&nbsp;prototype&nbsp;characterization&nbsp;and&nbsp;adjustment&nbsp;of&nbsp;new&nbsp;products.</li><li>Interface&nbsp;with&nbsp;production&nbsp;for&nbsp;trouble-shooting&nbsp;and&nbsp;interpreting&nbsp;optical&nbsp;measurements.</li><li>Plan&nbsp;and&nbsp;conduct&nbsp;Transfer&nbsp;of&nbsp;Technology&nbsp;projects.</li><li>Follow&nbsp;new&nbsp;products&nbsp;after&nbsp;their&nbsp;design&nbsp;phase&nbsp;until&nbsp;their&nbsp;industrialization&nbsp;phase,&nbsp;by&nbsp;designing&nbsp;test&nbsp;setups/stations,&nbsp;conducting&nbsp;measurements,&nbsp;trouble-shooting&nbsp;and&nbsp;finalizing&nbsp;their&nbsp;performance.</li><li>Technical&nbsp;writing:&nbsp;compose&nbsp;Technical&nbsp;Specifications&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;manuals&nbsp;for&nbsp;test&nbsp;stations.</li><li>Lead&nbsp;and&nbsp;participate&nbsp;in&nbsp;field&nbsp;trials.</li><li>Travel&nbsp;requirement:&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;3&nbsp;weeks&nbsp;per&nbsp;year.</li></ul>Required/Minimum&nbsp;Education&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Qualifications<ul><li>M.Sc.&nbsp;Degree&nbsp;in&nbsp;experimental&nbsp;Physics,&nbsp;or&nbsp;Electrical&nbsp;Engineering&nbsp;with&nbsp;knowledge&nbsp;of&nbsp;Optics.</li><li>Proficiency&nbsp;in&nbsp;an&nbsp;optics&nbsp;laboratory&nbsp;environment.</li><li>Basic&nbsp;knowledge&nbsp;of&nbsp;Matlab&nbsp;and&nbsp;Labview&nbsp;programming.</li><li>Excellent&nbsp;command&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;English&nbsp;Language&nbsp;(German&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;plus).</li><li>Open-minded&nbsp;and&nbsp;multi-tasking&nbsp;orientation.</li></ul>

Senior Optical Engineer

With production facilities and head office in Athens, as well as subsidiaries in Germany, KSA, Singapore, UAE and USA and with more than 150.000 systems in service or under contract in over 60 countries around the world, Theon Sensors is today the global market leader in man portable Night Vision and Thermal Imaging Systems for Military and Security applications.&nbsp;The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. He/ She will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will be familiar with offset guidelines and project implementation.&nbsp;Responsibilities<ul><li>Set project timeline</li><li>Monitor project deliverables</li><li>Ensure resource availability and allocation</li><li>Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress</li><li>Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs</li><li>Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress</li><li>Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them</li><li>Manage offset negotiations, drafting of proposals, project implementation, etc.</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant field</li><li>Proven experience as Project Manager (aerospace/defense sector preferred)</li><li>Strong business acumen in project planning and management</li><li>PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus</li><li>Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills</li><li>Previous working experience in the Middle East</li><li>Knowledge of Arab language is considered a plus</li></ul>

Co-Production & Offsets Manager

The Software Development Engineer will be part of Theon Sensors Electronics Team, developing electro-optical systems for defense and security applications.&nbsp;The engineer will participate in the system requirement analysis and collaborate with a multidiscipline team of PCB, embedded, and FPGA engineers to define the software architecture, decide on the appropriate development methodologies, software frameworks and proceed with the software development.&nbsp;Candidate Profile:&nbsp;Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.Application development experience targeting both standard and Embedded computing platforms for Windows OS and Linux Distributions.Experience with SW development ecosystem (scripting languages, toolchains, libraries, version control tools etc).Standard software development skills (C/C++ programming language, testing, continuous integration).Familiarity with networking concepts and development of network applications (TCP/IP stack, UDP, etc.).Development of USB device drivers for Windows OS and Linux Kernel/User Space.&nbsp;Desired Skills:Experience in HW-related SW development and debugging for embedded systems (microcontrollers, JTAG, oscilloscopes, etc.)<ul><li>Machine vision experience and machine vision frameworks and libraries (e.g. OpenCV).</li></ul>
