This role will report directly to the Head of SEO and work closely with client teams.Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>You’ll be executing both on-page and off-page SEO strategies aimed at growing visibility, improving rankings, and driving traffic across a portfolio of high-traffic media websites</li><li>Run deep-dive SEO audits; from technical SEO checks to content and backlink audits, you’ll regularly analyze site health and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to improve performance</li><li>Support content with smart planning; you’ll conduct keyword research, cluster terms by intent, and build out content maps to help our editorial teams plan and optimize effectively</li><li>Work on optimizing internal linking, refining site architecture, and implementing structured data (schema markup) to enhance how search engines interpret our content</li><li>Work closely with developers and product teams to ensure SEO best practices are baked into CMS templates and code — right from the start</li><li>Measure and monitor; using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog, you’ll keep a close eye on SEO performance, flag issues, and identify new opportunities</li><li>Contribute to outreach and backlink acquisition efforts in collaboration with the content and outreach teams, always aligned with content goals and brand tone</li><li>Create and maintain SEO dashboards and reports in Looker Studio to help stakeholders understand what’s working, what needs improvement, and what’s next</li><li>Occasionally, you’ll be involved in A/B testing and CRO efforts, using SEO insights to help optimize conversion paths and user journeys</li><li>You’ll stay current with algorithm updates, industry trends, and emerging best practices — and bring fresh ideas to the table</li><li>Any other task that may be required from time to time</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management &amp; Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field</li><li>Master’s degree and/or related certifications are considered a plus</li><li>4–5 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally in content-rich environments such as media, publishing, or large-scale websites</li><li>Proven expertise in both on-page and off-page SEO, including link-building strategies</li><li>Proficiency in SEO tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog</li><li>Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and familiarity with JavaScript from an SEO perspective</li><li>Experience with CMS platforms, especially WordPress</li><li>Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, and technical SEO implementation</li><li>Exposure to CRO tools and A/B testing methodologies</li><li>Experience working with large eCommerce or publisher websites is a plus</li><li>Fluency in Greek and proficiency in English, both written and spoken</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Analytical and detail-oriented</li><li>Strong communicator and collaborator</li><li>Proactive and self-driven</li><li>Adaptable in fast-paced environments</li><li>Passionate about SEO and digital publishing</li></ul>
