Right now we’re looking for a Director of DevOps to play a key role in our DevOps &amp; QA department in Athens. It could be the start of something, well, extraordinary.&nbsp;Sounds great, what will I be doing? 🤔As our Director of DevOps you’ll be responsible for leading the design, build, and operational management of highly secure and scalable systems. This role is critical in reducing or eliminating bottlenecks and inefficiencies across the DevOps and engineering departments.&nbsp;The Director of DevOps works closely with Quality Assurance to design solutions, plan capacity, and optimize performance, while also partnering with senior engineering leadership to deploy and maintain sites and software. At GWI, we run our own clusters on Google Cloud in a containerized environment, supporting a wide range of microservices and components. We operate under enterprise-level SLAs (99.9% availability) and ensure our systems remain operational 24/7.It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you’re willing to learn. Here’s what the team will be looking for:👉 Strong grasp of DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering principles.👉 Proven experience creating tools and automated workflows to support engineering, data, and BI teams.👉 Expertise in Terraform, including organizational adoption best practices. 👉 Strong experience designing and implementing real-time monitoring systems.👉 Experience managing and securing cloud services at scale.👉 Demonstrated ability to coordinate and support multiple highly available Kubernetes clusters and workloads.👉 Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automation scripting, and Infrastructure as Code.👉 Ability to support frontend and backend teams during service migrations and transition periods.👉 Excellent time management, documentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.Equally important is attitude. It could be the start of something, well, extraordinary.&nbsp;Sounds great, what will I be doing? 🤔As our Security Automation Engineer you'll be instrumental in automating security tasks related to Web Application Firewalls, Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security Architecture. You will also collaborate closely with the Infrastructure Team to discuss and enhance security measures across our platforms.It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about.
