The Middle School Monitoring Aide performs a variety of support tasks to assist the faculty and the Principal. This role encompasses clerical support, direct monitoring of students and being in the classroom when needed.Duties Performed:<ul><li>Provides learning experiences in an environment conducive to student learning and engagement.</li><li>Directs group activities for assigned students.</li><li>Assists in monitoring students as directed by teachers and administrators.</li><li>Being in the classroom as needed.</li><li>Supports and enforces classroom policies.</li><li>Prepares classroom materials for distribution.</li><li>Demonstrates appreciation for and sensitivity to the diversity among individuals, ensuring equitable opportunities for student learning.</li><li>Exhibits positive and effective classroom management skills.</li><li>Supervises students during recess, lunch, or early morning periods outside.</li><li>Supervises students in various areas of the building, such as classrooms, the library, theater, or other designated areas.</li><li>Collaborates closely with the Middle School Principal and the Middle School Assistant Principal and counselors to address student behavior and issues.</li><li>Proctors examinations, including MAP testing sessions, IB exams, and other assessments.</li><li>Assists students with learning in small groups or one-on-one instructional sessions.</li><li>Participates in professional development events to enhance professional competence.</li><li>Thoroughly reads all related handbooks in the Middle School to ensure a comprehensive understanding of school procedures, policies, and offerings.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Work Contacts:The Middle School Monitoring Aide interacts daily with various school personnel, including the Administrative Assistant, the Principal, faculty members, other aides, and parents. There is also daily contact with students.Independence of Operation:While all work is monitored by teachers and/or the Principal/Administrative Assistant, the Middle School Monitoring Aide is expected to maintain order, safety, and an optimal learning environment through direct contact with students. Middle School Monitoring Aide

The Early Years and Elementary school psychologist provides support to students, faculty, staff,&nbsp;and parents who are experiencing social, emotional, and/or learning difficulties within the school&nbsp;setting. In addition, the psychologist provides wellness opportunities for all members of the&nbsp;school community. The aim of the psychologists work is to ensure the well-being of each&nbsp;individual while enhancing the teaching and learning environment for each of them.Scope of the PositionThe school psychologist reports to the Principal and works closely with students, teachers,&nbsp;parents, learning specialists, the Middle &amp; High School psychologist, and the Administration.
