With deep functional and sector expertise, paired with innovative AI-powered technology and an investor mindset, we partner with CEOs, boards, private equity and governments every step of the way.&nbsp;We have ambitious plans and we are looking for an experienced Valuation Analyst to join our dynamic and highly motivating Valuations, Modelling and Economics team in Athens and support the implementation of our EY-Parthenon practice work and initiatives throughout Greece.As a valuation professional at EY, you will help global organizations make strategic decisions by providing responsive, objective advice on valuing businesses, shares, and assets. You will help those clients make better and more informed decisions about how they strategically manage capital and transactions in a changing world. That means advising businesses on how they preserve, optimize, raise, and invest their capital to help them achieve their strategic objectives.&nbsp;&nbsp;Your key responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation</li><li>Perform industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information</li><li>Assist in financial modeling, building financial forecasts in excel environment</li><li>Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties</li><li>Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel</li></ul>&nbsp;Skills and attributes for success&nbsp;What we look for<ul><li>Strong academic background, including a bachelor's degree from a top university in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration, or other related field with strong quantitative focus</li></ul><ul><li>Significant relevant work experience, ideally in a Financial Analyst position, working in financial statement analysis as well as budgeting and forecasting</li><li>Excellent written and verbal skills, both in Greek and English</li><li>Advanced knowledge in MS Office packages, in particular MS Excel</li><li>Ability to think outside of the box &amp; problem-solving skills, coupled with strong numerical/analytical ability and a sound grasp of financial accounting</li><li>Strong team participation skills, particularly in teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, coupled with the ability to coach and mentor others.</li><li>Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas</li><li>Professionalism and consistency in approach to client work, internal business, and practice development</li></ul>&nbsp;Ideally, you’ll also have<ul><li>An MSc degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), and/or any other related field with strong quantitative focus</li><li>Experience in a Big4 professional services firm, or another multinational firm</li><li>An active ACCA/ACA/CFA certification (or in a final stage of completion)</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;What we offerWe will fuel your ambition and potential with future-focused skills development that equips you with state-of-the-art methodologies and technology-enabled solutions.
